We're seeking for a detail-oriented Junior Manual QA Engineer to join our team. As a Junior Manual QA Engineer, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of Gertrud software.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assist in developing and executing manual test cases and test plans based on project requirements and specifications.
  • Learn to identify, analyze, and document software defects and anomalies to support issue resolution.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and ensure effective communication throughout the testing process.
  • Participate in product design and requirement review meetings to gain insights from a QA perspective.
  • Contribute to regression testing efforts to ensure stability of existing functionality after introducing new features or making changes.
  • Help document and maintain test plans, test cases, and testing procedures for future reference and knowledge sharing.
  • Contribute ideas for process improvement and best practices in software quality assurance.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and QA methodologies to enhance skills and bring innovation to the testing process.

Job requirements

  • At least 1 year experience as a Manual QA Engineer, preferably in a fast-paced software development environment.
  • Basic understanding of software testing concepts.
  • Experience with creating clear and concise test cases and test documentation.
  • Basic understanding of HTTP protocol and client-server architecture.
  • Testing experience with MS services (Teams, Outlook, SharePoint etc.) and ability to test software integrations with these platforms.
  • Familiarity with API testing (Postman, Swagger, etc)
  • Familiarity with bug tracking systems and eagerness to learn about defect tracking and reporting.
  • Knowledge of various types of testing, including functional, exploratory, regression, usability, and integration testing.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
  • Availability for at least 5 hours a day during EU time-zone working hours.
  • Certification in software testing (such as ISTQB) is a plus.
  • Good level of written and conversational English; German language skills are a plus.
